| Tena Stivicic - INVISIBLE |
| The film of Tena's play INVISIBLE is currently in development with George Films. George Films was set up in 2011 to create an initial slate of 6 projects, scheduled to go into production from Autumn 2012. Synopsis: Most people don’t see ANTON on the other side of the glass, they see through him. An economic migrant, they don’t care what he did before he got here – here he cleans windows, here he’s a statistic. Across London, another man reads about people like ‘him’ in the tabloids. No names, just numbers. The millions crossing borders each day, adding to an ever shifting population. But HE has a six figure salary, town house, airline gold cards, successful wife. HE can go anywhere, HE can do anything. So why does FELIX find it so difficult getting out of bed in the morning? Having a worthy job, saving the planet one wind farm at a time, just doesn’t cut it anymore. The money and people behind the turbines are just as dirty as the fossil fuels they’re replacing. Whispered voices from across the Atlantic are pushing him to go further, get involved. Life is there for the taking, if you’re a HIM! What happens when the white male feels like they’re the ‘HIMS’ that don’t belong? When White Anglo Saxon ProtestantS become the prey, not the predator? In the last hour, 66 people have died in the UK, 85 have been born, and 23 immigrants have joined the faceless mass. INVISIBLE is a striking view of the modern world and the people in the crowd struggling to keep up with it. INVISIBLE - the play George Films website. |
