A small dinosaur, a Diictodon, has escaped from its cage. But, of course, there's no sign on the set of anything that even remotely resembles a prehistoric beast. "It looks like a big guinea pig," says Miller, helpfully describing a Diictodon to the uninitiated. Says Andrew-Lee Potts: "At first when you are reacting to a traffic cone on a stick it's a bit hilarious. The hardest thing was not to laugh," says Andrew-Lee Potts, who plays dinosaur-obsessed computer geek Connor Temple. "It was a learning curve for all of us and there were a lot of giggles along the way.But now when you see new characters come to the show and you see those actors struggle with it, you realize how it's become part of your life, so I don't find it tough any more." "He's a bit perplexed with Connor - he sees him as this weird, geeky guy and they have a sort of amiable friction. When he and Cutter first meet, Cutter tells him 'I'm in charge' but Becker insists 'I'm just here to look after you'. They develop a working, professional relationship. He gets on with the others fine." July 30th 2008 Read about Juliet Aubrey and Karl Theobald at Comic-Con here. A well-known catalogue is advertising a new set of Primeval characters from Season 2. Read the interview here March 25th 2008 In today's Times 2, Douglas Henshall talks about Primeval. The articles states that Primeval Series 3 is to be filmed later this year: Henshall can afford to lose a few quid these days, having made his name in Primeval. After two series, with a third to be filmed later this year, he has learnt to live with being stopped in the street by small, excitable boys. “People say nice things so I don't mind the attention.” If he ever gets too big for his boots he only needs to look at the sales figures of his Professor Cutter action figure scale model to be brought down to earth. “I'm quite sure it is not the bestselling figure from the series.” Douglas says he would like to work in the US: “ I got a US manager and will go back when Primeval goes out. It looks like they spend money on stuff out there whereas here we don't like giving money to people. Here we go: Here's a fiver. If you can make it for that, fine. If you can't, ......!' They invest in success. When we have a success, we try to make it quicker and cheaper and worse.” More info. |
