| What's The Truth? Starring Douglas Henshall and Niamh Cusack, the sensitive issue of child abuse is tackled in the one off thriller Loving You. When educational psychologist Dan whitmore ( Douglas Henshall, Psychos) meets teacher and divorced mum-of -two Chloe Langdon ( Niamh Cusack State of Mind), there is an instant attraction and they begin an instant and passionate affair. Pleased that her children Alice, 14, and Lucy, six, have accepted Dan into their lives, Chloe asks him to move in . But their relationship comes under immense strain when Dan is arrested after a six-year-old client claims that he has sexually abused her. Suspended from his job while the police investigation continues Chloe can only have sympathy for him. But then the police show her photos taken by Dan of her daughter Lucy and her friend Jessica, all glammed up and posing provicatively, and she begins to doubt his innocence. When Chloe's ex-husband Adam ( Keith Allen, Bob Mortimer) is told about the pictures he threatens to take the children away if she continues to see Dan. The couple's lives are turned upside down as Dan moves out and Chloe's associatiom with him casts suspicicion on her at work. So she sets about finding out the truth for herself. Will Chloe unearth any evidence to show Dan is innocent? Or will she discover that the man she's in love with is a paedophile? 'The implications reverberate through Dan's life - and it really bruises his whole existence,' sats Douglas.' To be accused of something like that is horrific. 'Dan appears to be a fairly normal straight forward guy but there are many diffrerent levels to him. Personally I'm very careful about who I put my trust in. If I was to think that someone had betrayed that trust, then regardless of the situation, I think I'd find it very difficult to forget.' |
