The Friday Play: Fragile !

“This doesn’t feel like home, because it’s not. It’s nobody’s home, so nobody care for it.”

This is an outsider’s description of living or, rather, existing inside London. Croatian-born playwright Tena Stivicic offers a different view of our capital with her pitch-black-humoured drama. All of the characters are immigrants, each of them struggling to get life to start working in their favour. Their experiences range from brutal war crimes and enforced prostitution through to a wannabe artist from New Zealand obliged to make a living as a social worker.

Douglas Henshall plays a macho foreign correspondent with a taste for drink and drugs, and Catherine Cusack is the beautiful but irreparably damaged woman he left behind in Bosnia.
