Claudia Brown. Um, yeah. its an odd combination because I think, um, he's kinda, to all intents and purposes, figured that women are just off the map with him at first and I think she takes him completely by surprise. At first I think she's just... he's intrigued by this woman who's sassy and intelligent and sparky. And he doesn't quite know what to make of her at first but then as it kinda goes on I think he finds himself kind of falling for her a little bit.

But, um, before anything gets a chance to really happen, um, something else happens that kinda stops that. Its a shame a little bit because that kind of... in the second season when Jenny Lewis arrives, much as, y'know, thats another great character, I miss Claudia Brown still. (smiles)

There aren’t that many samurai swordsman from Barrhead in Glasgow in Scotland, where I’m from you know.  I was reminded of Pulp Fiction where Bruce Willis is kind of looking for a weapon to go and deal with what’s happening downstairs and he finds a Samurai sword and it’s such a great scene and I thought I get to play with the Samurai sword you know.

But then I was also thinking the guys a professor, he’s a scientist. The stunt coordinator, Nerinda, who’s great, was trying to show me some moves and I thought I have a choice to make here, I can either follow these moves that look great and you know look like a proper swordsman, but I kind of thought how would I know how to do that with a samurai sword? So I just kind of bought into the fact that I’ve got a big sword in my hand and I don’t know really know how to use it, but I’m gonna to use it anyway. That was great fun and I had such fun with that.

You know there’s so much made about the fact that what would happen if the government, you know...say in the US, the government was finally to kind of go “Okay, I’ll tell you what guys Roswell...were right. All you conspiracy theorists out there, you were right um, there are aliens um, we’ve got one of them in Roswell and actually some of those brothers are coming down to see us all pretty soon. There is life on other planets and they’re gonna be visiting real soon.”

.” You know when Orson Wells did the reading of the War of the Worlds, there was panic on the streets, you know people went crazy and that was just pretend. And I think there’s a little bit of that, it’s like you may do more harm than good. Until we know why they’re happening and how we can combat them, then if you tell the public about these things with no solution then all you’re gonna do is cause panic and I think that’s his stance. He’d rather try and contain it until they know what they’re doing.
Whether the public is ready for the truth
