| Welcome to the second series of PRIMEVAL. Our new season picks up exactly where the first left off - Nick Cutter has returned from the past to find that the world he knew has changed dramatically and a key member of the team has gone missing. Not only that, it appears she might never even have existed. As if that weren’t enough to keep him busy, this time around the anomalies are appearing more frequently than ever and the creatures are bigger, meaner, and even more deadly than before. And just to add to the fun, his love/hate relationship with wife Helen is about to take a turn for the worse...
The strange disappearance of Claudia Brown is just one of the continuing mysteries at the heart of the new season. There are also the anomalies themselves of course, which remain as enigmatic as ever - but in the course of the series Cutter will make a significant discovery that helps the team in their struggle to keep creatures from the past and future at bay. This time around we hope the creatures are even bolder and more exciting than before, and unfortunately very few of them are friendly... and one mystery we definitely will be solving is the real reason for all those hold-ups on the M25 in the morning - if you thought it was all down to roadworks, stand by to be surprised... As well as a new cast of creatures, we also have some new faces in the cast, including a new assistant for Lester and a surprising girlfriend for Connor, both of whom have a significant role to play as the series unfolds - but whether their involvement turns out to be a help or a hindrance to the team is debateable... At the same time the more familiar cast will face dilemmas of their own - Stephen must deal with the alarming fall out from the revelation of his relationship with Helen, while Connor and Abby have unexpected romantic problems to contend with... Our ambition with this new series has been to take PRIMEVAL to a new level of intrigue, action and mystery, and to match an exciting human story with the best special effects available. We hope you enjoy it. Tim Haines Adrian Hodges |
